He will be able to chew through them eventually, if he tries, but with what speed and if at all, depends on his chewing abilities:) My parrot only peels the bark off, but not too interested in chewing the actual branch. What about yours?
Java Multi-Perch Large - out of stock at the moment, but if not urgent I can let you know when it is in stock again. The price will be around £21
Platform perch Large - £12
Java toy Branch Medium - £12
If you want any of them, let me know about a week in advance, so that I order them from the supplier (I don't stock much on the premises), or if it is ok with you to wait, then just place the order at any time and I will get back to you with the delivery dates.

Thanks I will have to wait so I can get the money together anyway.

He chewed straight through one of his perched till it gave way with his weight, granted the perch wasn't very good, it was one that came with his cage. One of the perch he has now is indestructable LOL I even strugled to cut it down to go in his cage, it's off a fruit tree not sure which, cherry or apple maybe. It's rock solid

I see! Well two of the perches you have ordered are Javas, I am not sure how hard they are because I have never used them (I just use natural branches I cut off my in-laws' garden trees, like apple and willow), so you could try one, and see if you want another similar one at all. As for that platform - it has good reviews on 24parrot website. But I made a platform for my parrot and he quite enjoyed nibbling on its edges, didn't go any further than edges though:)

I have a rope perch for my bird, he has to go on it because I replaced his sleeping perch with it - it is a necessity - he is adopted and he has acquired a bumblefoot from his previous life. So basically if you want him to go on any new perch place it as high as possible (obviously allowing him place to sit on it Smile ). Parrots and other birds prefer to sleep at the top ones, or go for a rest there, because they feel safer the higher they sit. Or you could place it near his food bowl - this is how I encouraged him to go on a cement perch. Cement perches should be placed near food or water bowls or some toys, so that they step on, but don't spend too much time on them.
I made a platform myself and I use it as a table Very Happy I place a plate with his fresh foods on it, because I believe birds prefer eating fresh foods from shallow dishes. Sometimes I put some toys on it or pieces of cardboard to shred. It is quite useful to have something like that in the cage:)
