not sure, but would assume the same as oranges (someone correct me here if i'm wrong), which are fine...very little nutritional value, i think... Question

Grapefruits are fine to give, they are rich in vitamin C (though parrots can produce their own vitamin c and don't require extra supplementation, some natural vitamin C can do only good), antioxidants and pectins. I know that in humans grapefruit can interact with certain drugs, so it is not recommended to take drugs and eat grapefruits at the same time (or rather one after another Smile ), so I suppose if a parrot is on any medication it is best to avoid giving grapefruits for some time, but no problem at all in giving them to a healthy parrot Smile

I think it is best to peel the white skins off the grapefruit wedges and give him to try just the pink (yellow) flesh, as it is tastier Very Happy But on the other hand, Digby has been munching away on rowan berries and they are sooo bitter! Birds don't seem to be bothered about sour and bitter tastes Smile
