I'm sure jasper has nine lives, like they say a cat does. After various minor scrapes over the past two years this morning he managed to get himself tangled in the light cord in our bedroom. Shocked

Tony was leaving the house in a hurry and was meant to be taking some hoover bags to swap for the right size ones, all i did was chuck them to him accross the hallway, well one of us must have startled jasper and he just took off into the bedroom, next thing there's an almighty screeching (you know the panic one) and he's flapping about just hanging by one wing and the cord was in a knot around it. Shocked

I managed to get him free and then i just burst into tears, jasper even put his head under my chin for some reassurance Sad he was o.k of course,no damage done except to my heart and jaspers pride Rolling Eyes

Poor Jasper, hope hes ok, its really scary when they get themselves in a mess but the screech usually makes it sound worse than it is. Looks like he had a lucky escape though, bless him, im sure youre more upset than he is. Have an extra biscuit with your tea later.

Well now he appears to have a sore eye,it does look a little red around his lower eyelid, its like he's squinting somewhat but there's no weeping from it. Why do they have to cause us all this stress and worry,he had something like this ages ago and it seemed to put itself right. Sad

Im going to keep an eye on him,it looks like a trip to the vets again Rolling Eyes

Are anyones birds here able to make there eyes move in different directions?? jasper looked a bit cross eyed this morning.

Jaspers eye seems ok this morning, back to normal although he was very clingy on saturday night,we sat cuddling for about five hours almost none stop scratch he only moved to get a drink or some food or to poop. i don't know if he sensed the heavy rain coming or a storm or what,i give up trying to sus him out.

maybe i've just got a cross eyed parrot lol, could have been a bit of dust or something,he hasn't been in a draught that he couldn't move away from if he wanted. Rolling Eyes
