Does anyone have an idea about electric? I was laid in bed last night and the light bulb in the bedroom kept flashing every 5/10 seconds for a good half an hour. None of the others were doing it but i have a paranoia about fire. The house was rewired less than 3 years ago. I do have that static surround around me and cause electric to do things when i get stressed which i have been just lately but ive had very little problem for a few years.

could be you light fitting is dodgy, take out the light bulb, and ya see the catches where the light bulb twist into , is that plastic or metal?

if its plastic they melt over time giving it a loose connection, that could defiantly cause this. if thats the problem then you just replace the light fitting with a descent metal one, cost about 50 pence.

if its only the one light thats doing it, then it doesnt sound like any faulty wiring.

also make sure the bulb is in properly.

Thanks Pete, i shall go and check in a minute, it shouldnt be the wiring as the whole house was rewired less than 3 years ago.

guess what, our bathroom light has started doing the exact same thing.

yeah electric can be dangerous lol. i remember about a year back i was changing some sockets at my mams house for her, and i asked her to turn all the electric off for the sockets at the fuse box. so she did, i had a all metal screw driver < i know all metal driver silly idea but the electric was off Shocked . anyway i touched the mains wire with it BANG affraid , the screw driver flew outa my hand , and the fuse box tripped the whole electric, i can defiantly say that it hurt lol she turned the lights off and not the sockets Rolling Eyes , teach me not to be lazy and go do it my self Very Happy
